What is Destination ImagiNation®?

Destination ImagiNation® is an exhilarating after-school activity in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending Challenges and present their solutions at tournaments.

Kindergarten through university level students can participate in the program. Students form teams of 2-7 members. Each team chooses one of seven Team Challenges (see The Challenges for more information) and creates a solution for the Challenge in 8 to 12 weeks. Teams then present their solution for score at Tournament. In addition to the Team Challenge, teams will also compete in a Instant Challenge (see The Challenges for more information) at Tournament. Teams first compete at a Regional Tournament and can advance to the Affiliate (State) Tournament. The top teams can then advance from the Affiliate Tournament to Destination ImagiNation® Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
