Students for a Creative Iowa is fortunate to be comprised of dedicated volunteers from across Iowa.
Alisha Day, Affiliate Director. I have been doing DI for about half of my life. I have been a team member, Appraiser, Challenge Master, Board Member and am now serving as the Affiliate Director. My life has been positively impacted by this program and I want others to be able to that great experience too.
Sharon Wallace, Treasurer. I joined the board during the 2006-2007 season as Treasurer, and currently also serve the role as the Challenge E Challenge Master. I love seeing the solutions the kids have come up with and interacting with them during the tournaments.
Keith Kutz, Affiliate Training Director for Challenge Master/Appraiser concerns
Bruce Antion, Affiliate Training Director for Team concerns
Zach Haralson, Secretary. I’m the Secretary for cre8iowa, and this is my 20th year of being involved with the Destination Imagination program. I started as a participant in 4th grade, and I loved it so much I’ve kept with it ever since! I’ve been on teams up through the college level, gone to the Global Tournament, been an Appraiser and Challenge Master, and now I’m thrilled to be helping organize the program for the state of Iowa. I love getting to have so much fun every year, watching all the teams present their creative solutions and work together to accomplish things in amazing and wacky ways!
Mark Wilkins, Board Member. I became involved with DI because my wife volunteered me to be the team parent for my son’s team when he was in 5th grade. He continued on through his senior year and I continued on because I saw what a great program it was for teaching kids so many things that I feel are vital to being successful in today’s world.
